This course equips learners with essential smartphone skills, ensuring they can confidently operate, customize, and secure their devices.

• Unit 1: Basic Smartphone Functions & Security – Learn to identify and use buttons, switches,
  and touchscreen gestures. Set up and manage security features, including strong passwords and biometrics,  to protect personal data.
• Unit 2: Customizing Smartphone & Camera Settings – Navigate device settings to adjust brightness, sound, notifications, and accessibility features. Personalize the home screen layout and explore camera functions such as resolution settings, flash, and focus adjustments.
• Unit 3: Network Connections – Differentiate between Wi-Fi and mobile data, connect securely to networks, and enable/disable data roaming to control usage and costs while traveling.
• Unit 4: Downloading & Managing Apps – Explore the App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android) to search, install, and set up apps like Wireless@SGx and ChatGPT. Manage app permissions, updates, and uninstallation.
• Unit 5: Online Safety & Cybersecurity – Identify threats such as phishing and malware. Apply safe browsing practices and evaluate app security before installation.
• Unit 6: Data Management – Save, retrieve, and organize files using screenshots and cloud storage. Optimize storage and use ChatGPT for content creation and management.

• Educational Background: No formal education to lower secondary education
• Digital Literacy Level: Beginner with little to no prior experience with digital tools.
